  • 제목은 Totem의 FAQ지만 정확히는 Gstreamer 0.10기반의 Totem을 사용할 때 자주 질문되는 것과 그에 대한 해결책 모음입니다.

  • 자막이 있는 동영상을 재생하려고 하면 Internal data flow error 라는 대화상자가 나오면서 재생이 되지 않습니다.
  • 자막이 깨져나옵니다.
    • Totem 2.16 이상부터는 기본설정에서 자막 인코딩 글자셋을 설정할 수 있습니다.
    • 자막 인코딩을 한국어(UHC)로 설정하기 바랍니다.

  • 멀티채널 사운드 카드를 쓰는데 음향 분리가 안됩니다.
    • 기본설정에 있는 스피커 설정은 xine backend를 사용하는 totem에서만 적용됩니다. gstreamer backend를 사용하는 totem은 gconf의 설정이 적용됩니다.
    • 다음 명령으로 gstreamer의 음향 출력 플러그인을 변경합니다. 
      $ gconftool-2 -s /system/gstreamer/0.10/default/musicaudiosink -t str  "alsasink device=surround40"
    • 4채널 (2Front 2Rear)은 surround40 으로 설정하세요
    • 5채널 (2Front 2Rear 1Center)은 surround50 으로 설정하세요
    • 5.1채널 (2Front 2Rear 1Center 1LFE)은 surround51으로 설정하세요
    • 7.1채널 (2Front 2Rear 2Side 1Center 1LFE)은 surround71으로 설정하세요

  • 외장 오디오 디코더를 이용해서 AC3, DTS를 연주하고 싶습니다.
    • BugZilla:331875
    • gstreamer에는 audio passthrough를 할 수 있는 기능이 있습니다만, 대부분 플레이어에서는 사용할 수 없습니다.
    • 아직은 사용할 수 없다라고 생각 하는 편이 좋습니다.

  • gsteamer0.10-pitfdll 패키지를 설치하여도 wmv, wma 코덱을 찾지 못합니다.
    • win32 패키지를 설치하지 않았으면 먼저 설치하세요.
    • win32 패키지를 설치했는데도 코덱을 찾지 못하면 다음 명령으로 gstreamer 코덱 캐시를 제거한 후 다시 시도 해보세요. 
      $ rm -rf ~/.gstreamer-0.10

  • 동영상 화면에 녹색 잔상이 남습니다.
    • BugZilla:364139
    • gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg 플러그인으로 H264 코덱으로 압축된 동영상을 연주할 때 나타나는 현상입니다.
    • 개발버젼에서는 수정된 상태입니다.
    • 수정된 패키지는 http://ftp.mizi.com/~ganadist/totem/ 에서 받을 수 있습니다.
